Flower garden do-it-yourself how to make beds of wheel tires

There are few summer residents who are interested only in material interest - a house, farm buildings, harvest. Most love and appreciate the beauty in their land, not promising commercial benefits. But the number of rich people who can pay for expensive materials and the work of professional gardeners for the sake of effective open-air design is also not calculated in gigantic numbers. Hence a simple conclusion: you can make excellent beds in the summer cottage from a waste, in fact, material, such as old wheel tires, by doing all the work with your own hands.

Old tires - new design

Walk through the city courtyards and appreciate their design. Car tires have long been an almost mandatory component of modern design. They are driven in half into the ground, laid out in the form of lower framing of trees and other vegetation, children's tracks are made of them, suspended as a swing, painted in different colors.

On the basis of perennial flowers (astilbe, gelenium, geranium, catnip, stonecrop, rudbeckia, yarrow, host, sage, anemone) you can create many variations of original flower beds that will decorate the garden for several carefree years.
Ask your friends - they will not only tell you how to make flower beds out of tires with their own hands, but also show you photos confirming the absolute veracity of these stories.

If the urban environment, significantly limited by public interests and tastes, adopted such design tricks, then the cottagers, who have personal space for imagination, as they say, and God himself commanded.

Did you know? Robert Thompson, the inventor of the car-rubber tire tire in 1847, didn’t even think that it was a prototype of a country bed.

Tire selection

Choosing tires for the future flower garden, you need to consider not only their size (weight, by the way, also - there are such giants that you can't budge), but also other features, of which the most important, in the sense of facilitating subsequent processing, are the following:

  • winter tires are preferable to summer ones;
  • foreign tires are softer and thinner than domestic ones.
Important! Another important point - the presence of the disc, which will perfectly serve as the bottom of the "tire" flower vase. Without this element, we can only talk about a bed of tires, removed from the wheels, and equipped with their own hands.

Plant selection

Starting to plan flower gardens and flowerbeds, which will be done with your own hands at the dacha, we hope so that not only will you admire them yourself, but also show your friends photos of these spectacular structures of tires, inviting guests to yourself and satisfying your small vanity. As for plants, the choice is rich:

  • flowers of different varieties, including replacing each other in terms of flowering;
  • strawberries;
  • shrubs;
  • small (although it is optional) trees.
Important! There is one general rule: the flowerbed should be beautiful and correspond to the general style of your plot. It is possible that the very style can be built on the basis of floral and vegetable planning.

Making a flower bed with your own hands: the easiest option

Now the most important thing is the creation of beautiful flower beds (if they decided that one cannot do) of the tires with their own hands at the dacha: the result should be such that the photo should not be ashamed to be shown to people, acquaintances and strangers. Processing of the selected (this was the first step) tire begins with its marking for the implementation of subsequent cuts (this will be the second step). There are unpretentious landowners who use tires without pretreatment, but it is recommended to combine the beauty of living plants with purely technical aesthetics. The intended cut should be:

  • the upper tire part is removed (not completely) and the lower one is left (completely);
  • Having shown imagination and quickness, the cut line can be made wavy, broken, with teeth, with fringe, etc.
With small we put our notion on rubber and proceed to the third step. They will be the process of cutting:

1. The tire is divided into two parts along the drawn line.

Important! If the disc is available, it is not necessary to remove the tire from it during the procedure.
2. The bottom part turns inside out - this part of the process is the most time consuming because it requires physical tension. The mechanism is as follows: with a slice, this conditional tire half is placed on the ground (or on the floor), its edges are pressed by the legs (and, accordingly, the entire body weight), and then turned out, starting from one place (this is the most difficult) and, gradually accelerating, full circle. It turned out either a vase (if there was a disk) or a future flowerbed. Thoughtful owner and the upper part of the cut tire will not disregard. He nests it several times across from the inside (by 10 centimeters) and makes another flowerbed, digging the resulting cuts into the soil.

Finally, the fourth step in creating a country garden flower garden will be the transformation of a car tire, even if it has already been skillfully cut with a cutting tool, into a beautiful decoration for garden flora. This final step involves:

  1. Painting (who prefers enamel, and who prefers oil paints).
  2. Adding additional decorative elements (glass, pebbles, etc.).
Did you know? In African Kenya, local shoemakers have got the knack of making good tires for making excellent slippers, the demand for which has spread throughout the continent.

At the end of the topic we will admire the samples of "wheel-garden" art. From the options placed here, you can choose something for yourself. A person who is prone to artistic and technical creativity, photos will tell their own ways of aesthetic design of their summer cottage.
