Thanks to amateur breeders every year more and more hybrid forms of grapes appear.
Some of them are truly unique and quickly become popular winegrowers.
One of these varieties is “Furor”, which with its extraordinary size impresses all gardeners.
Specifications
This table variety was bred by the well-known breeder V. V. Kapelyushny. It was obtained by crossing Laura grapes and pollen of various resistant varieties whose names are unknown.
The hand of the same breeder belong to Ataman Pavlyuk, Descendant of Rizamata and Rumba.
It belongs to the early grape varieties, ripening period up to 110 days. Abundantly fruiting, and the berries tend not to lose their taste with a long stay on the bushes.
Fruits are very sweet, as they have the property of accumulating sugar well (by the time of ripening about 23%, while the acidity does not rise to 7 g / l).
Vanyusha, Delight White and Kishmish Jupiter differ in good sugar accumulation.
They have a very pleasant delicate flavor, the flesh is fleshy and juicy, and the skin is thin and almost imperceptible in the process of use.
Another positive feature of this variety is its excellent resistance to fungal diseases and frosts. Furor can withstand cooling to - 24 (!) ° C. This makes it a very popular variety for gardeners living in the northern regions.
Alex, Svetlana, Pink Flamingo are also frost resistant.
Grape Furor: variety description
The bushes grow large and massive, the leaves, like that of Laura, are not too large, but not solid, with a cut. Clusters are very large (up to 25 cm), cylindrical in shape, the berries are usually not placed too tightly. The flower has signs of both sexes.
Hermaphroditic flowers differ and Montepulciano, Julian and Hadji Murat.
But what is really capable of surprising in this grape is its berries. They are incredibly huge, have an elongated nipple shape and a dark purple color.
They grow to impressive sizes with an average length of 4 cm and a width of 2 cm. Mass reach 30 grams. Combining this with excellent taste and good transport transfer, you get just a brilliant commercial grape variety.
Ataman, Aladdin and Bogatyanovsky also demonstrate good commercial qualities.

Planting and care
This grape is very fond of heat and light, so when planting choose a site with good lighting.
And since Furor requires protection from the north winds, the south or south-west side of the site would be ideal. As for the soil, then the usual black earth or any other light type of soil will do.
The root system of the bushes is very much developed, so the important detail will be the distance between them. This variety can be planted as grafting to the rootstock, and planting green seedlings.
If we talk about planting time, then fall and spring will do. If you decide to plant seedlings or graft cuttings, then they should be harvested in the fall.
For this reason, many winegrowers consider it a more favorable period for planting. However, in this case there is a threat that the still fragile and undeveloped bush will suffer from the early frosts. If you do not want to risk, then save the cuttings and saplings until spring, and then take the planting.
If you still decide to plant in the fall, then you need to choose the time depending on your region (so that the bush does not start growing yet, but it does not come cold).
In the case of landing in the spring, the period from the beginning of March to the very end of April is best.
During the life of the plant, he will experience one small drawback. And, oddly enough, it is his abundant yield. He has too many fruits and they weigh quite a bit, so if not to ration his fruitfulness, then the branches simply will not withstand the load.
Require rationing and varieties such as Shakhtar, Supaga and Charlie.
Also, if you do not thin the bushes and do not cut off the extra shoots and inflorescences, the berries may begin to crack during a long stay on the vines.
A high amount of sugar in them can very quickly attract yellow pests - wasps. So constantly watch your grapes and on time remove extra eyes from his brushes.
It is recommended to leave 6 - 8 eyes on one vine and 30 - 40 on one bush.
Protection against diseases and pests
As previously stated, Furor has good resistance to fungal diseases. But this does not mean that he is not subject to them at all. So a smart winegrower will still take preventive measures to protect against mildew and oidium.
Spraying with fungicides, such as: kuprozam, polycarbacin, colloidal sulfur, tiovit jet, bordeaux fluid, is best suited here.
Spray need absolutely all parts of the plant, 6 - 8 times per season.
If the plant is still attacked by the wasps, then a variety of means will do. You can tighten around the bushes or grapes themselves the grid (which also protects against birds), but the best option would be homemade traps.
The simplest of them is the bottom of a plastic bottle (or any other round container) with a sweet liquid (jam, kvass, beer, etc.), to which special chemicals are added that kill flying pests.
It is recommended to use chlorophos or boric acid, as they are odorless and their content in the bait will remain imperceptible to wasps.
In general, the Furor grape variety does not require any special measures or costs for its protection; all it needs is a slight relief from its own weight.
But if you monitor its fruitfulness and ration it in time, he will thank you for the excellent harvest of impressive size and taste of berries, which can be used both for sale and as natural sweets for your family.
