The stevedoring company Novotekh-Terminal LTD has begun construction of a new grain terminal, with a design capacity of almost 3 million tons per year in the Odessa Commercial Sea Port, said the press service of Pivdenny Bank, which acts as a financial partner of the project.
In particular, the terminal will also include a port elevator with a simultaneous capacity of 110 thousand tons. Construction is planned to be carried out in 4 stages and will be completed in 2019. The new terminal will be located on the berths of ports 25 and 26, which allow processing vessels up to 250 meters long and with a maximum draft of up to 11 meters.
According to the report, the construction project has already passed all the necessary technical reviews and clarifications, and the state administration of the Odessa region has provided land for construction and installation work for long-term lease.
