Zamioculcas (Zamioculcas), or a dollar tree, is an exotic indoor ornamental plant of the Aroid family. His homeland is Africa. We have known zamiokulkas as a home flower for more than 30 years, it has not gained wide distribution, but nevertheless it is quite popular among connoisseurs of powerful, lush, beautiful foliage, it is used for the decoration of residential premises, offices and institutions. Appreciated for originality, as well as for lack of standard to the conditions of detention.
Zamioculcas: description of the plant
This is a tall - up to 1 m tall, bushy spreading plant with glossy large relief vertical dark green leaves. The leaves are complex - on the rachis (stem) of one leaf up to 20 small leaves. The root is a tuber. 
Zamiokulkas blooms even in nature rarely, at home - even less often. But its beauty is in excellent lush foliage and excellent decorative qualities. At the same time the plant is unpretentious - it grows well and develops. Since zamiokulkas reproduces well at home, one can try different ways of breeding it.

In the ground
A very simple way how to grow a flower from a leaf in the ground. It is as unpretentious as it is to propagate a zamiokulkas cutting, only instead of a stem with several leaves, they take individual leaves. Reproduction zamiokulkasa sheet is suitable if you grafted the plant and cut the bottom leaves of the rachis. In order not to throw them away, they can be rooted. Cut the leaf sprinkled with coal or dipped in growth solution and after some time planted in a small pot with the ground. Well watered the first 1.5-2 weeks, then - as needed. 
In water
The method of how to root a zamiokulkas in water is even easier. To do this, cut the sheet placed in a small container of water (try to keep it not tilted, and located vertically) and wait for the roots. Then planted in the ground.

Features of reproduction and cultivation of zamiokulkas

Once a year, an older tree needs to be transplanted into larger pot. Do it carefully, not breaking off the nodules and transferring the whole basal earthen lump, while the plant in the new place is not watered for about 3-4 days.
