How to use the herbicide "Prima": instructions for use of the drug

Herbicide "Prima" - a popular and more effective means for the protection of crops from 160 species of annual and two-year weeds of the family of Dicots.

It is used on such crops: wheat, rye, barley, millet, sorghum, corn.

Form release and description of the herbicide

Available in the form of a concentrated suspension emulsion in containers of 5 liters.

The herbicide became popular in agriculture and home gardens "Prima" due to such characteristics:

  • Actively counteracts growth: ambrosia, all types of chamomile, nightshade black, sow thistle, all types of cruciferous.
  • Speed - the effect is noticeable during the day after the use of the drug.
  • The ability to make at a temperature of 5 ° C and above.
  • Duration of application - "Prima" effectively fights weeds at various stages of their growth.
  • A wide range of suppressed plants, a total of 160 items, high efficiency with mixed infestation.
  • Does not affect the rotation. For the next season after using Prima, in the field you can sow cruciferous crops: cabbage, mustard.

Did you know? The herbicidal effect of ferrous sulfate was discovered in 1897, and in 1908 the American Argon Bolley published data on the use of sodium compounds and ferrous sulfate for the destruction of weeds on wheat crops.

The mechanism of action of the active substance

The effectiveness of the herb "Prima", the use of which allows you to eliminate up to 95% of weeds, provide two active substances with different principles of action:

  • Florasulam - inhibits the synthesis of amino acids in weeds, the content - 6.25 g / l.
  • Ether 2.4-D - quickly penetrates the leaves of weeds and blocks the activity of the hormone that regulates plant growth, 452.42 g / l.

Thus, the combined herbicide affects weeds that are sensitive to at least one of the active substances.

You can use herbicides to control weeds in your area: Agrokiller, Zenkor, Lazurit, Lontrel-300, Ground, Titus, Stomp.

Technology and instructions for use

Plants are sprayed with a solution of the concentrate with water. The optimal time for processing is spring, when plants have 2-8 true leaves. During this period, they are most sensitive to the components of the herbicide.

Tips and tricks

  • Before working with the Prima herbicide, carefully read and follow the instructions for use.
  • Equipment for processing plants should be well regulated, adjusted to the average spray radius.
  • The use of slotted nozzles is recommended.
  • When you make a working solution, you need to take into account the weather forecast, within 24 hours before and after, there should be no frost.
  • The optimum temperature for introduction is from +8 to + 25 ° С.

Important! If the recommended concentrations are exceeded, selective herbicides can destroy all vegetation in the area.

Consumption rates for different crops

The application rate of the drug per 1 hectare is 0.4-0.6 l. concentrate, depending on:

  • crop density;
  • stages of development and density of weeds;
  • weather, temperature.

To prepare the solution for spraying, the concentrate is diluted with water. Solution consumption per 1 hectare - 150-400 liters. Grain, spring and winter crops, millet - crops that are processed at the tillering stage before the plants enter the tube or form 2 internodes in the initial phases of weed development. Consumption per 1 hectare:

  • concentrate - 0.4-06 l;
  • aqueous solution - 200-400 l.
Corn and sorghum are sprayed with the appearance of 3-5 leaves of cultivated crops and at the early stage of the development of weeds. Consumption rate per 1 hectare in liters:
  • concentrate - 0.4-06,
  • an aqueous solution - 200-400.
Corn can be processed as well in the phase of 5-7 leaves, the consumption of the preparation per 1 hectare is increased to 0.5-0.6 l.

Important! The test for miscibility of the preparations is carried out before preparing the mixture, combining them in a small amount in a separate container.

Herbicide compatibility with other drugs

Herbicide "Prima" is compatible with most plant protection products:

  • insecticides;
  • nitrogen fertilizers (liquid);
  • plant growth regulators;
  • fungicides;
  • other herbicides.

Primo toxicity

The drug is low toxicity, classified as toxicity class 3:

  • When working with the concentrate and the working solution of "Prima", you should not drink, smoke, eat, without first washing your hands, face or changing clothes.
  • It is necessary to work with the concentrate and the working solution using protective equipment: gloves, glasses, a respirator.
  • Pesticides can only be sprayed from a safe distance and the windward side.
  • The exit of people on the field for performance of work is allowed in 72 hours after processing.

Storage conditions and shelf life

For safety and quality preservation, “I will accept” according to the instructions are stored in a dry room in the factory’s hermetically sealed container of the manufacturer, with such conditions:

  • Temperature is from -10 ° C to + 35 ° C.
  • The shelf life of Prima is 3 years.
  • Do not heat or freeze the drug.
  • Not allowed to fall on the drug precipitation, direct sunlight.
  • Children and animals are not allowed to the storage place.

Did you know? The era of industrial application of herbicides in agriculture began in 1938, in France appeared the drug "Sinox" for the treatment of fields of grain, flax and vegetable crops.

The concentrate is stored separately from:

  • water;
  • fertilizers;
  • feed and premix;
  • seeds;
  • food;
  • pharmaceutical, medical and veterinary drugs;
  • flammable substances and pyrotechnics.

The use of concentrate and working solution "Prima" allows you to quickly and efficiently get rid of weeds, to increase the yield and quality of the grown product. When using pesticides, it is necessary to follow the rules of safety, dosage and concentration of the drug, thus avoiding unnecessary costs and risks.
