In Ukraine, there is a shortage of domestic fruits and vegetables

This was reported by Tatyana Getman, an expert on fruit and vegetable markets. According to her, this situation is observed in other CIS countries, and the reason for all was a bad harvest.

Also, according to Tatyana, in Ukraine the “borsch set” has significantly increased in price. Onions increased in price, beets are imported from Poland, and carrots are brought from EU countries or Belarus.

Also, the unsustainable hryvnia exchange rate, which is of great importance for the purchase of citrus fruits and bananas, affects the shortage of vegetables in Ukraine. But this year one can see a significant drop in prices for apples, which are clearly in surplus.
