Every day there is less and less greenery on the shelves, the reason for which was the inability to transport products from Europe due to snow. In Ukraine, greens rose very quickly in price. It turns out that of all the ingredients of the sandwich is extremely expensive just it. One leaf of salad is twice as expensive as a piece of cheese or sausage, 3 times as expensive as butter on the same sandwich, 10 times as expensive as a baguette, and 20 times as expensive as an egg.
In early February, the cost of salads went up with a galactic rate - with an increase of 230% to the usual value in Europe. The leading suppliers of salads to Ukraine - Spain and Italy - were covered with snow, so retail chains in Europe restrict the sale of greenery in one hand. Deliveries to Ukraine, due to a shortage, were almost halved. At the moment, a kilogram of salad costs more than 5 kilograms of elite pork.
Own salad in Ukraine is grown very little, so it is also worth as imported. As the director of the domestic salad maker Sergey Lenchuk said, the salad became expensive because of the prices of energy elements: gas and electricity. In winter, when the sun is low, it takes 16 hours a day to light up. In general, the greenhouse business is gradually gaining momentum, plus the demand for greenery has grown, as people consume less and less conservation.
