On February 22, Belarus temporarily restricted the import of pork from the Dnipropetrovsk region in connection with the registration there of animal diseases African swine fever (ASF). According to the Department of Veterinary and Food Supervision of the Ministry of Agriculture and Foodstuffs in Belarus, temporary restrictions are imposed on the import of live pigs from this region of Ukraine, pork and its products, leather, horn and intestinal raw materials, stubble, meat from wild boars, hunting trophies derived from susceptible species animals. Also, restrictions have been introduced for feed and feed additives for animals of plant and animal origin, including those from poultry and fish. In addition, the import of used equipment for transporting pigs and raw materials (products) of animal origin, housing, slaughtering and cutting pigs is restricted.
In the department of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food, they inform about the need to take additional control measures to ensure the biological protection of large pig farms, pig farms and farms of all forms of ownership.
