Ukraine will resume the most northern tea plantation

In Mukachevo, which is located in the Transcarpathian region, according to the idea of several enthusiasts, they plan to resume the work of the tea plantation. Experiments on the cultivation of tea, conducted here by Soviet scientists, back in 1949. The idea of the experiment was to grow tea in unsuitable conditions.

The grown tea was not worse than the Chinese, and during the research about 2.5 tons of the crop were harvested. After the collapse of the USSR, the plantations were abandoned, although it is still possible to find several bushes of unique tea in the village of Krasnaya Gora.

Local enthusiasts have already begun to renew plantations and are sowing the fields with tea culture.
