Russia has simplified customs control conditions for importing vegetables, fruits, berries and nuts from Tajikistan

It will now be easier to bring Tajik vegetables, fruits, nuts and berries into Russia.

On April 17 of this year, the customs services of the Russian Federation and Tajikistan signed a document, according to which the simplified procedure for carrying out customs operations when moving vehicles and cargo between the two states comes into force. The signing of the agreement took place in the framework of the visit of the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon to Russia.

A list of the goods referred to is attached to the agreement. Innovation concerns the importation of:
  1. vegetables and some edible roots and tubers;
  2. edible fruits and nuts;
  3. citrus peels and melon peels;
  4. roasted peanuts, uncooked in any other way, cleaned or unpeeled, crushed or whole;
  5. products from processed vegetables, fruits, nuts and other parts of plants;
  6. different foods.

The parties to the simplified customs corridor enjoy certain advantages, as stated in the document. So, they will have priority clearance at customs, and the procedures themselves will be faster.
